World’s first Underwater Villa has opened in Conrad Maldives Rangali Island

Conrad Maldives Rangali Island has opened the world’s first Underwater Villa.  The underwater villa is called “The Muraka” which translates from “The Coral”.  Ahmed Saleem, the director, and architect of the Crown company, was the leading personnel in the making of this underwater masterpiece.

Designed elegantly with 2 floors included, a grand total of 15 million dollars was spent in the building of “The Muraka”. As a result, the cost of spending one night in this masterpiece adds up to an astonishing amount of 50,000 dollars.

The bottom floor of the villa featuring the bedroom is 5 meters below the surface of the water while the top floor of the villa is above the surface of the water.

“The Muraka” was opened to guests in the 1st of November and has already made quite a reputation amongst the tourists around the globe with some news media already discussing it as a hot topic.

“The Muraka” is the second piece of architecture designed by Ahmed Saleem which was made to be underwater. The first one is the underwater restaurant in Conrad Maldives named “Ithaa” which is also the first underwater restaurant in the world.
